Ocean circulation:
Ocean circulation is the movement of water in ocean basins as a whole.
Sea basins are bowl-like depressions in the oceans filled surface that have
salt water, sea life and complex geological features like reefs or abyssal
plains. The ocean currents or ocean circulation is a continuous, directed movement
of ocean water generated by the forces acting on this average flow. Tides are
caused by the gravitational pull of the Moon and the Sun and depending on where
the earth is while in rotation, depends on if there are high or low tides.
The ocean currents are capable of flowing for great distances. are important
because all together they create a great flow of the global conveyor belt, which
plays a major role in determining the climate of many of the Earth's regions.
